Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're taking a quick look at the Trim and Fastener Clip Assortment. This is going to give you a bunch of different clips and fasteners to make sure that you can get any kind of panels back in place that you might have removed. Maybe you're doing some wiring on your vehicle, putting in a hitch, base plate, something like that. This is for the Mercedes vehicles in particular, so it should work for a lot of different models of Mercedes out there. We do have other manufacturers as well but let's take a look at what you actually get in the kit.The first thing you notice is that it is in a hard case, so it gives it a pretty easy way to keep all those things together, without it just being a bunch of loose little bits.

It's also slim enough that if you maybe are working in a shop and you want to have a couple of these on hand for any kind of vehicles that you have coming through, it's pretty easy to stack these guys. They also have labels on the sides to make it easy to see what which is which, so if you've got a couple of these in place, it's not too hard to store multiple. If you're going to keep it just for your own vehicle, you can stash this underneath the seat or even put it in your trunk. Not too hard to store in that regard.Let's take a closer look at what actually comes in our kit here. The other nice thing about this kit is that it does have a little guide to kind of tell you where each thing should go and where they should live.

Some of them might not say exactly where the clips go. It can be kind of a general. They're used in multiple places. We've got a round barrel nut here, little threads on the inside. Push type retainer, get a bunch of these guys, they just push in place.

And I think, yeah, these are all just one piece. You just push those in and then it's got a little stem that comes up. You got a couple of push type retainers and these have sort of a little plastic screw that goes in, so it pushes down and then you can unthread those.If you need to take them back out. Hook insulation rotator or, excuse me, hood installation retainer, so those little guys.Push type retainer. Looks like this does have two pieces so there's a little kind of top part that goes down into that, pushes it out to hold it in place.

Retaining clip. Another style of push type retainer. It's a little different than that other guy, a little bit bigger. Again, the top part kind of goes inside and pushes out.You do get plenty of pieces, so if you happen to lose one little guy, shouldn't be the end of the world. Another retaining clip. Retaining grommet. Retaining clip. And then retaining clip, this is kind of an elaborate one here, and another retaining clip. Should be pretty much all the main fasteners that you might find in your Mercedes vehicles. Again, works for a lot of different models and I like that the case keeps all those pieces separate. You can also remove these little dividers and put them in different spots as well. It looks like they're kind of stuck together here but that makes it nice. If you have, for instance with these, you get a lot of these guys, these round barrel nuts, you could maybe get a little bit more space, reorganize it how you want it to be, to kind of keep those in place. But you got a couple of options as far as where you can put those. Just trying to get it back in the slot there.So all in all, pretty nice kit to have for your vehicles. Again, especially if you're going to be doing a lot of different work on different vehicles, kind of nice to have these on hand just because clips are easy to break. If you're putting any kind of panels back in or taking anything out, especially, a lot of those clips can just break. There is no really good way to get behind them once they're in place, so you can have these as spare.I hope this has helped in deciding if this is the right kit for you.
